American Indians Recipe
Native American food was available in many places, including restaurants, street stands and festivals. My childhood memories include eating bison burgers, frybread tacos, and local greens. In our adult years, my family and I went to the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian, Washington, D.C. The Mitsitam Cafe was also visited by us. It was easy to communicate with museum staff and other experts on Native American cuisines in order to learn more about Native American dishes. The museum also referred me back to Sean Sherman (author of The Indigenous Sioux Chef).
